My name is Sierra Myerscough and my training is a new take
on fitness in this hectic lifestyle.
Achieving true fitness requires nurturing more than just our physical bodies - it requires a holistic approach that honors the mind and spirit as well. Physical strength provides an incomplete picture of health if the mind is plagued by stress, negativity and lack of purpose. Likewise, mental sharpness alone cannot overcome bodily disease rooted in nutritional imbalance or sedentary living. Body, mind and spirit interconnect; to elevate one, we must support the others.
This holistic fitness philosophy understands exercise as more than burning calories or building muscle. The practice trains mindfulness by drawing awareness to breath and bodily sensations during movement. Through unique movement sequences to promote mental clarity through concentration, presence and release of accumulated stress. The practice also provides a moving meditation to quiet mental chatter and connect with inner wisdom.
Through years of experimenting, learning, failing and acceptance, my training philosophy is simple: accept where you are, present and now to move forward. Whether utilizing the entire body in distinct moves, strength training with heavy weights, functional movement that requires a focus on body and breath connection, kettlebells, and my personal favorite - the sandbag, anytime you train with Sierra will involve a complete mind, body and spirit reset.

When was the last time you spent five minutes enjoying your own personal company with no distractions? One thing that I pride in telling my clients is that spending time on you is never a waste and should be viewed as sacred time to allow your spirit to be checked in. Whether a morning prayer, daily gratitude list, mediation, breath work and so many more, taking time for yourself allows you to show up fully for those who deserve your fully present self.
